The Walt Disney Company

The Power of Disney

April 3, 2010 By Keagan Pearson Leave a Comment

Just a quick thought before the day get’s in to full swing.

My wife and I decided to bite the bullet and take our two oldest girls to Disney On Ice last night. Although there had already been two showings earleir that day, the arena was packed out like it was a Phoenix Suns game!

The most interesting thing however, was realizing how integrated Disney has become in our culture. My three year old daughter was naming the vast majority of the characters before I could! Disney is a true example of how influencing a child can affect generations to come.

So humor me for a second. What if the fathers of this country were to dedicate themselves to positively affecting their children? Could we assume that we might just see a generational change in the lives of our families? I will admit that this is a lofty concept but the reality is that this is still possible. I have known families that continue to honor men from generations past because of how they altered the fabric of their households.

I don’t know about you but my hope is that my influence on my daughters takes prominance over Mickey and the gang!
