Theme Party

Great Themed Celebration Parties For Dads

July 10, 2019 By John Pearson Leave a Comment

Your dad’s birthday is coming up soon. You want to throw him a themed party that will be one for the books. However, with the number of themes to choose from, you don’t know what to use for your dad’s. To help you make a sound decision, consider the following themed celebration party ideas:

1.    Viking-Themed Party

Old doesn’t have to be boring, especially when you’re throwing a Viking-themed party! Not only is a Viking-themed party unique, but it’s also very affordable and easy to assemble. If you’re eyeing to follow this theme for your dad’s birthday, do your own research first. The internet can inspire you on how to transform a venue into a Viking wonderland. You can serve food in a dragon-shaped boat and let your guests drink from a beer drinking horn. You can even hand out costumes to mimic the appearance of Vikings!

2.    Awesome Super Dad Party

What’s the best way to celebrate your dad’s birthday? To highlight his being super, of course! If you want to show off how amazing and cool your dad is, consider throwing a super dad birthday party for him. All you have to do is hang decorations that are inspired by Superman and use the same colors (yellow and red) found in his logo. You can serve your food in bowls of yellow and red, too. If you have the time and interest, you can also give out invitations with a Superman logo and necktie in front. And last but not least, have your dad wear a Superman shirt on his birthday. This will be the icing on the cake!

3.    Fishing Party

Most dads consider fishing as a great way to bond with children. If your dad shares the same interest, throw him a fishing-themed birthday party. This kind of party is actually very easy to do. You just need to look for decorations and utensils that come in blue to represent the water. You can also form fishes using round and stick balloons, and use these as decorations, too. To take it up a notch, serve food and label them with different fishing terms. You can look for candies that mimic fish scales and fish food!

4.    Office-Themed Birthday Party

Dads are usually the breadwinner of the family. They work for long hours in order to provide for their family. Use your dad’s upcoming birthday to show your gratitude for all his hard work. If you’re looking for a unique and fun way to celebrate his birthday this year, throw him an office-themed birthday party! You can serve your food in an office table, place his birthday cake in front of a corkboard, and use filers as decorations on the table. You can also have your guests use straws resembling that of a pen or pencil.

5.    Movie Night Birthday Party

A movie night birthday party is a perfect idea if your dad is a self-proclaimed movie buff. Although this kind of birthday party will require a little work, it’ll be really worth it in the end. Research about your dad’s favorite movies and print large backdrop with the pictures in it. Depending on the size, you can use this as a backdrop for the cake or as a decoration for the venue. Food should be served in popcorn-like containers.

For the pièce de resistance of the party, set up a movie viewing station. You can do this in your own living area or outdoors. You just need to make sure that all of your guests are comfortable and having fun while watching these movies!

6.    Golf-Themed Birthday Party

If your dad loves to play golf and you have a big lawn near your house, a golf-themed party can be an excellent choice for his birthday. Since this theme is common nowadays, you can now buy decorations, invitations, and other party favors that complement the theme. Depending on your dad’s preference, you can choose to stick to blue and green (as these colors are common in golf), solely use blue, or mix and match with other colors. If your dad will invite his friends who also play golf, consider having a little competition as part of the program.

Customization Counts

Aside from the ideas presented in this article, you can still research more about themed celebration parties for dads. You can even ask your friends and family for recommendations. But no matter what theme you decide to use for your dad’s party, make sure that it highlights the celebrant. Customize the theme and make it your (or your dad’s) own!
